Sedekah
Money never goes out when giving Sadaqah
"I'm actually depositing in my Akhirah account
so I remind myself
the withdrawal is going to happen
after I go in the dirt (kubur)
so I don't expect any withdrawals yet.
You try to withdraw now,
you won't get anything there

Sebelum ni ramai yang tekan kan nak rezeki murah banyakkan sedekah. Dekat sini ada "trap".
Trap?
Yup, trap.
Bila mana kita bersedekah dengan niat nak murah rezeki.
Niat kita bukan lagi bersedekah kerana Allah tapi kita nak balasan (reward) daripada Allah.
Balasan apa?
Murah rezeki, rezeki yang banyak.
Sadaqah has been defined as
an act of ‘giving something to somebody'
without seeking a substitute in return
and
"with the intention of pleasing Allah"
Sedekah bukan hanya terhad kepada duit sahaja, malah lebih daripada itu.
Sadaqa also describes a voluntary charitable act towards others,
whether through
generosity, love, compassion or faith.
These acts are not necessarily physical or monetary.
Simple good deeds
such as
a smile, or a helping hand,
are seen as acts of sadaqa.
Anyone can give sadaqa for any amount.
Some of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
were incredibly generous in giving sadaqa,
often giving away large portions of their wealth
and
keeping only enough to meet their needs.
A good balance for us
may be to divide our wealth
between that which
we need, savings and sadaqah.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) would
give charity throughout the year
but increase his sadaqah during Ramadan.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said,
“The Prophet (peace be upon him) was
the most generous of people,
and
he was most generous during Ramadan,”
(Hadith, Bukhari).
REMINDER : Sadaqah is charity given voluntarily in order to please Allah.
Once you make intention and then practice that whatever you do is to please Allah,
you then earn the reward because none of believer’s actions runs into loss.
Berhenti tetapkan dalam minda yang nak murah rezeki kena banyakkan sedekah!!
Daily routine:
My Sheikh Dr. Abdul Hay’ee used to say that when you are done with Fajr (subuh) prayers,
make an intention that whatever you plan to do that day will be to please Allah.
Benefit:
As you start your day, recite verse 162 of Surah Al-An’am:
“Say,
‘May prayers and sacrifice, my life and my death,
are all for Allah,
Lord of the Worlds.”
After having made this intention,
think of all the deeds (one by one) you expect or plan to do during the day,
and make a supplication (du’a) that
Ya Allah, I will perform these deeds purely to please you.
Then remember to make such an intention
before every thing you undertake.
May Allah enable all Muslims to make it a practice. Aameen.
